I have spent the past 3 years carefully following the AIP to manage my own autoimmune diseases, plus I am a certified AIP Coach, so I’m familiar with the protocol's rigorous standards.  Not only do I know how to succeed on the AIP, but I know how to do it in a way that limits the stress, frustration, and feelings of deprivation, that often accompany elimination diets.

About Me

I envision a world where people are effectively managing and ultimately reversing the debilitating symptoms of autoimmunity through the healing power of food.

2016 was a terrifying year. My body was attacking itself, and no doctor nor prescription could stop it. I suffered from debilitating symptoms, which ultimately resulted in resigning from my job. The life I knew ceased to exist. I had been a collegiate athlete and a marathon runner, yet suddenly I could barely walk to get the mail. The fatigue was crippling, and I experienced many dark days. I had never felt so alone and helpless, and I feared this was my future. Over the course of several years (2013-2016), by the age of 31, I was diagnosed with Mixed Connective tissue disease, Celiac, Lupus, Raynaud’s, and Dermatomyositis. Along with this news came severe depression.


I was prescribed a multitude of medications, but they barely touched the symptoms, and the side effects were nightmarish. In the depths of despair, I began researching. I knew there had to be something more I could do to help manage my symptoms. I stumbled upon the Autoimmune Protocol (AIP), which is a diet that focuses on supporting the immune system by eliminating inflammatory foods and incorporating nutrient-dense foods that promote healing. I found hope from reading inspiring success stories from other autoimmune sufferers who had found wellness with AIP. Since my current quality of life was unacceptable, I decided it was time to take my health into my own hands. I turned to food as medicine and started following AIP. Within the first week I began to see miraculous improvements.


I am 3 years into this healing process and can proudly say that I am successfully managing my diseases through diet and lifestyle; I am thriving and I am back doing the things I love - even running!

In June of 2018, I graduated from the Nutritional Therapy Association as a Functional Nutritionist.  I became a FNTP to further educate myself in the science behind the incredible healing power of food. I needed to know how and why my body responded so well to this new lifestyle, so that I may share my story to help others. As a Functional Nutritionist, my goal is to assist you in your mission to reclaim your health. I am passionate about teaching the importance of properly prepared, nutrient-dense, whole foods that are delicious, nourish our bodies, and restore balance within the body. It is truly amazing what the body is capable of when given the proper nutrients. I desire to provide a source of hope and support for anyone who struggles with autoimmunity or other chronic conditions. I want you to know that you are not alone.  I have felt the overwhelming sadness and despair that often accompanies autoimmune disease, and I have come out on the other side.  I will be a strong source of support while providing you with the knowledge and skills necessary to make the appropriate dietary and lifestyle shifts needed to improve your health. You deserve to feel well.
